Vanilla Custom Gear LegUp – Step for Vanilla MultiFix

Important: The LegUp is designed for installation on the Vanilla MultiFix R or Vanilla MultiFix L base rack.

The Vanilla Custom Gear LegUp is an aluminium step fitted to the Vanilla MultiFix base rack, providing easier access to the roof of a campervan. It allows the base rack to be used as an access aid when inspecting solar panels, removing snow from the roof, checking roof-mounted accessories or loading additional luggage.

The step provides a stable foothold, including when wearing outdoor boots with wide soles. This makes it comfortable and secure to use during everyday travel and in expedition conditions.

The LegUp is made from 4 mm PA11 / AW-5754 aluminium. This material offers high corrosion resistance, low weight and excellent durability. The components are laser-cut and formed using digitally controlled press brakes, ensuring precise manufacturing and a proper fit with the Vanilla Custom Gear system.

The surface of the step is protected with finely textured RAL 9005 black powder coating. Blackened stainless steel bolts are also used, ensuring that all components are corrosion-resistant and suitable for use in changing weather conditions.

The step can be installed at different heights on the Vanilla MultiFix rack, allowing its position to be adjusted to the user’s height, the accessory layout and the way the vehicle is used. It also features openings for transport straps, allowing it to serve as an additional strap attachment point.

The LegUp has been designed so that when the campervan’s rear door is opened to 180 degrees, the step does not interfere with the vehicle bodywork or rear lights.
