Vanilla SpareCarry – Standalone Spare Wheel Carrier

The Vanilla SpareCarry is a standalone spare wheel carrier designed for installation on the rear barn doors of a campervan. It allows the spare wheel to be moved to the outside of the vehicle, which is particularly useful when the factory space beneath the chassis is occupied by a grey water tank or when the wheel is too large to fit in its original mounting position.

The carrier is made from 4 mm and 5 mm PA11 / AW-5754 aluminium. This lightweight, durable and corrosion-resistant material is commonly used in the automotive and marine industries. The components are laser-cut, formed using digitally controlled press brakes and powder-coated in finely textured RAL 9005 black.

The SpareCarry features additional reinforcement to increase the rigidity of the main panel and uses the same Vanilla Grid hole pattern as the Vanilla MultiFix L and Vanilla MultiFix R racks. Once the wheel mounting section is removed, the carrier can also be used as a compact base panel for transporting smaller accessories such as jerry cans, recovery boards or other expedition equipment.

The product includes openings suitable for M8 bolts, securing strap attachment points and the option to remove the attachment points from one side of the carrier. Stainless steel wheel mounting bolts are also included and are suitable for alloy wheels.

The SpareCarry is a practical solution for campervans and expedition vehicles where easy access to the spare wheel, improved functionality of the rear doors and a more off-road appearance are important.
