Vanilla MultiFix R – Multifunctional Base Rack

The Vanilla MultiFix R is a multifunctional base rack designed for carrying additional equipment on the rear door of a campervan. It is a key component of the Vanilla Custom Gear system and can be used to transport expedition accessories, storage boxes, a spare wheel, bike racks, recovery boards, jerry cans and other equipment required during travel.

The construction is made from 4 mm and 5 mm PA11 / AW-5754 aluminium. This material offers high corrosion resistance and is commonly used in the automotive and marine industries. The components are laser-cut, formed using digitally controlled press brakes and powder-coated in finely textured RAL 9005 black.

The Vanilla Grid hole pattern provides a wide range of accessory mounting options using M8 bolts or Airline-style fittings. This allows the rack to be easily adapted to current requirements, from carrying storage boxes and bike mounts to luggage platforms and off-road accessories.

Installation on the right-hand rear barn door maintains access to the vehicle interior, as the door can still be opened with the rack and cargo attached. The adjustable height of the centre panel and openings for securing straps improve functionality and make it easier to secure transported equipment safely.

The Vanilla MultiFix R is compatible with other Vanilla Custom Gear accessories, including the CargoCube 60, CargoBox 90, CargoBox 110, Powhunter, GearBar, GearBar 550 Folding, Multishelf, SpareSet, BikeUp and LegUp. This allows it to serve as a base for a variety of expedition, commercial and touring configurations.
