Vanilla Custom Gear GearBar – Cargo Supports

The Vanilla Custom Gear GearBar consists of aluminium cargo supports designed for installation on the Vanilla MultiFix R and Vanilla MultiFix L base racks. The product makes it easier to secure additional luggage, bikes, outdoor equipment and larger items carried on the rear doors of a campervan.

The supports are available in two lengths: the 40 cm GearBar 400 and the 50 cm GearBar 500. They are sold as a set of two and can be used as a base for securing cargo or as part of an expanded transport system.

The GearBar is made from 4 mm PA11 / AW-5754 aluminium. This material offers high corrosion resistance, low weight and excellent rigidity. The components are laser-cut and formed using digitally controlled press brakes, ensuring precise manufacturing and a proper fit with the Vanilla Custom Gear system.

The surface is protected with finely textured RAL 9005 black powder coating. Blackened stainless steel bolts are also used, ensuring that all components are corrosion-resistant and suitable for expedition use.

When fitted with BikeRail rails and a BikeGrab frame holder mount, the GearBar supports can form a campervan bike rack capable of carrying up to three bikes, depending on their type and size.

The GearBar can also be used to carry other loads, such as SUP boards in carrying bags, folding pushchairs or larger luggage that does not fit inside the campervan. XtraPlate 100 or XtraPlate 300 panels can also be installed on the supports to create a versatile cargo platform.
