Vanilla Custom Gear PowHunter – Ski and Multipurpose Storage Box

The Vanilla Custom Gear PowHunter is an aluminium ski and multipurpose storage box designed for installation on the rear doors of a campervan. During winter, it can be used to carry skis, snowboards and other winter sports equipment, while in summer it serves as a spacious storage box for additional travel gear.

The box has a capacity of approximately 307 litres and can hold around 5–6 pairs of skis up to 195 cm long. Its sealed construction protects the contents from moisture, dirt, water and road salt, helping to keep the equipment secure during journeys and expeditions in demanding conditions.

The PowHunter is made from 2.5 mm and 3 mm PA11 / AW-5754 aluminium. This material offers high corrosion resistance, low weight and excellent durability. The components are laser-cut and formed using digitally controlled press brakes, while selected sections are welded to improve the rigidity and strength of the box.

The surface is protected with finely textured RAL 9005 black powder coating. Blackened stainless steel bolts are also used, ensuring that all components are corrosion-resistant and suitable for use in changing weather conditions.

Three folding shelves are fitted inside. When unfolded, they make it easier to organise luggage. When folded into the vertical position, they can be used as panels for securing skis or snowboards with transport straps or bungee cords. When required, the shelves can be folded away quickly to provide the full interior space for larger items.

The box is equipped with gas struts that hold the door in the open position, two locks operated with the same key and an additional padlock option. A rubber floor mat and water drain are also included, preventing water from melting snow and wet winter equipment from collecting inside the box.

The PowHunter features side mounting panels and an internal door panel with the Vanilla Grid hole pattern. This allows additional equipment to be attached using M8 bolts or Airline-style fittings. The product can also be fitted with the PowHunter DoorPanel, a set of two external mounting panels for the box door.

The box is compatible with the Vanilla MultiFix R base rack and the LadderRack ladder. Thanks to a dedicated mounting hook, installation can be completed by one person. The box can first be hung on the rack and then secured with bolts.
